And my goal of remaining unbiased is against politics in the media, not advertising. Based off of my experiences with advertising, the bias is within that department not the newsroom. At my company, it seems to be okay to borrow workers from the newsroom but not vice versa, for the weekend shifts, when no advertising employees work on the weekends (at my newspaper). I do not have a bias against you (if you are in fact who you say you are) I just wish lines were respected and my advertising department would get more organized. You don't want to jump up and down for job at having better hours (which is great, congrats!) but you don't want to be like, eh, whatever either. Of course the largest like the New York Times and such will always be around in one form or another, but the smaller stories in the smaller towns that don't receive the same Internet coverage will find some comfort in their faithful audience. Just a thought. About the CEO's, I don't think any of them are any worse off than someone who hasn't even seen the amount of money that has passed through them before. I somehow have less sympathy for someone who had made so much and didn't have a backup plan. But hey, no one could foresee something this detrimental to newspapers...
